In her second 1500m, Muir clocked storming 4:05 flat which included a final 200 of 28.32. Two and a half hours earlier Muir also won the 1500m heat in 4:09.29.

Great Britain's Katarina Johnson-Thompson won her second European indoor pentathlon title in Glasgow on Friday, March 1. The 25-year-old Johnson-Thompson scored 4983 points a new World lead (8.27 60m hurdles; 1.96m high jump; 13.15m Shot put 6.53m long jump; 2:09.14 800m). 19-year-old Niamh Emerson (GBR) took a surprise silver medal with 4731 points after she set a PB in every event. Solene Ndama of France set a national record with 4723 points for a bronze medal.
