Elaine Thompson successfully completed the Jamaican National Championships sprint double after she defeated training partner Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce to win the women’s 200m final on Sunday, June 24 in Kingston. The Rio Olympics Champion Thompson established a world-leading time of 22.00 seconds. On Friday, June 22 stormed to a world-leading time of 10.73 seconds to win the women’s 100m. Fraser-Pryce clocked the same 10.73 seconds for 2nd place.
