Timothy Cheruiyot, Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Jake Wightman produced stunning sub 3:30 in the men's 1500m at the Herculis Monaco Diamond League on Friday (14). The reigning World champion, Cheruiyot held off Jacob Ingebrigsten, the European champion, to clock a World lead of 3:28.45. Surprisingly, the 19-year-old Jacob broke Mo Farah's European record by finishing 2nd in a stunning 3:28.68. Scotland's Jake Wightman also produced a shock performance by setting a new personal best by more than five seconds to finish third with 3:29.47 and to move him up to second place in the British all-time lists.
